The Hippocritic Oath: The health crisis in Karenni State

The entire population of Burma is facing a health crisis however, the worst affected are ethnic minority groups, such as the people of Karenni State. The lack of affordable medicines, qualified health workers and access to health services often results in people dying from easily curable diseases or injuries. The National Convention: Ingraining the military into Burmese politics

The Burmese military junta has restarted its “final” session of the national convention, which will finalize the 104 basic principles. These principles will form the basis of the new constitution for Burma, as part of the junta’s “roadmap to democracy”. However, the proposed 104 points will not guarantee a return of political power to the people, but rather further instill the military into the leadership of Burma.
