You too can help raise awareness
about the situation in Burma by hosting a Burma
night for your class or local community group. These
functions can raise awareness among your peers and
can also act as a fundraising activity, with the
money being donated to a Burma cause.
At
a Burma night you can show Burma Issues latest video
and develop a talk relating to the video. Burma

Refugees from Burma are currently being resettled
to communities in the UK , Canada , Sweden , Norway
, Australia , New Zealand and the US . You may have
a resettled refugee in your community who could
speak about their life in Burma and their journey
to your nation.
By
creating more awareness of the ongoing human rights
and humanitarian crisis in Burma amongst the general
public, it puts Burma higher on the individual countries
political agenda and the agenda of international
forums.
